Racially superior you said,
When did pathetic cowardice
Camouflaged as a sense of entitlement
Make anyone superior?
Did you think we will go gently into the night?
Concentration camps and gas chambers, you built.
Segregated us based on labor value, like cattle.
Chose the viable among us for breeding,
like farm animals.
Mass murders you committed,
Entire races you tried to annihilate,
You played God.
Did you think we will go gently into the night?
For every savage you created,
There was a gentle soul who protected us.
For every evil deed you committed,
A compassionate soul hid our children in their midst.
For every one of us you executed,
We fought to keep one of our children alive.
Did you think we will go gently into the night?
We do not know,
If the countless screams and wails,
or the nail scratches of tortured souls
on the brink of death,
over the gas chamber walls,
haunt you in the afterlife.
But we do hope,
that the laughter and accomplishments
of our thriving children, reaches your ears.
We might have been your victims,
but the continuance of our bloodlines,
is the sweetest revenge of all.
We did not go gently into the night.
